Mom's Lovely Visit

We enjoyed four fabulous days with Mom Tatum from April 20th to the 24th. A couple days prior to her arrival she had come down with a respiratory illness. So we spent most of her stay letting her recuperate with the help of her two grandkids.

We did, however, manage to get out and have some fun. On Saturday we had a fun picnic lunch while enjoying wonderful spring weather.

Monday, the whole gang ventured to the college where I teach to have lunch with me. Then we made the trip to Beijing's Silk Street where Mom loaded up on stuff to take back as gifts for friends. Then we stuffed ourselves during dinner at Sizzler Restaurant.

Josiah and Amelia loved having their Grandma around. The morning she left was pretty rough for them. Josiah needed quite of bit of consoling on the way home from the airport.

We all are already looking forward to the next time we can be together.
